I started to teach myself 3D animation and modelling back in 1995 using Lightwave, Around 2000 I changed over to 3Ds Max as I found it offered much better organic modelling and animation. I have created several images for flyers and posters, as well as a variety of short animations, some for my personal pleasure and some for a local clubs projection system. I also have experience in off and on-line editing, audio manipulation, 2D graphics, website creation, and flash animation (I have just completed a set of Flash animations for a large UK base company that promises to have a lot of use nationwide).
My main influences are Pixar and a number of architectural designers but I also enjoy a large range of classic and modern 2D animation as well as keeping watch of the latest developments in the CGI advertising field.
If you are looking for a cute and cuddly character, an exciting and professional logo animation, or even a sharp and smooth rendition of your latest building or landscape project I am able to help, even if you are looking for something completely different I am sure I can make it happen.
The Exit2000 logo animation shown took approx 6 hours to create (with tweaking, lighting, direction, etc) and around 48 hours to render (x64 AMD 5200+). This was mainly due to the need for depth of field in the master render for much of it (initial flythrough and final “explosion”), the frames were then composited and touched up in After Effects before the final sequence was rendered.
